At age 36, Jillian Alexander’s journey embodies determination, resilience, commitment to self-development and her passion to empowering marginalized groups. Her academic prowess shone through as she earned five degrees (a combination of undergraduate and postgraduate) by the age of 31 by prestigious Honours and an international scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree in Human Rights at Malmo, Sweden in 2012. Jillian is a wife and mother and testifies that her family is her strength and motivation on and off the pageant stage. Driven by her passion for Law, Jillian pursued Law and ultimately earning a Masters degree in the field. Jillian is a Conveyancer by profession (property law) and enroute to qualify as a Solicitor in 2025. Jillian’s accomplishments extend beyond the realm of law. After completing her two Masters degree in Human Rights and Criminology and Criminal Justice, her passion for Modern Slavery developed and this is what birthed her platform entitled “UNBOUND” which is a platform that raises awareness on Modern Slavery and encourages individuals to take Action, Spot and Report any signs of Modern Slavery in their communities. She raises awareness and funds for charities through campaigns, hosting educational workshops and Instagram lives with prominent charitable organisations. The core of her platform is the work she does with Modern Slavery survivors which include upskilling workshops in the field of makeup artistry and nail technology. Jillian believes that it is far worthwhile to teach people to do things themselves than it is to do those things for them over and over again. Her mission is to continue to work with the group of women, to break barriers of social reintegration, encourage entrepreneurship, accelerate inclusivity and social mobility. She can attest that the women she work with are building their business from home in cosmetology. Jillian returned to pageantry in 2024 after ten years and couldn’t stay away any longer. She believes in the power of pageantry and how it enhances confidence, poise, personal growth, presence, interview skills and platform development. Pageantry enabled her to conquer her insecurities and inspire others to believe in themselves, pursue their dreams boldly and unapologetically. With her thirst for knowledge, Jillian is currently pursuing her AET (Award in Education and Training, to continue to provide outstanding training sessions for the survivors and despite her achievements, she remains grounded while juggling all her roles with grace. Outside her schedule, she finds peace in hiking and spending quality time with her family.
