Hey everyone,
My name is Stephanie from Cork, Ireland !
I’m known to many as Effy !
I am involved in the Pageant industry 10 years now, wow!
I started out when my girls was 5 years old and seen toddlers and tiaras on tv and asked to do a pageant! We have been hooked since!
I have been involved in every aspect of pageantry from pageant mom, hairdresser, make up artist, costume maker to then being a contestant, coach, mentor, judge, MC and Director! I’ve had the privilege of attending many pageants from all over the world, including Australia and New Zealand !!!!
I have entered only 3 pageants myself in the last 3 years!!!! Afterall I was just the Pageant Mom! However I threw myself into the deep end and went out of my comfort zone and applied to Ireland Pageants in 2015! My 1st pageant I came 1st runner up and again I was hooked! Determined to better myself I applied again for 2015 and my hard work paid off! Mrs Ireland 2017. What an experience! I then decided after winning a National Title that I try harder and go for International. Achieving the Title of Mrs International Curve 2018/19 was my dreams come true!
Though In my personal life I had a lot going on! I had moved to New Zealand and my marriage split and I found myself flying back to Ireland with 3 kids, pennyless, homeless. I decided to focus on myself and once mum was happy then so will my kids.
I went to college as a 35 year old single mom and qualified as a Beauty Therapist! To date I have lost 6 stone, my mental health, physical appearance and overall health is so much better. I’ve a cosy home and a car on the road and to say I am so proud of myself is an understatement!!!
My platform allows me to raise awareness for Mental Health and Suicide Awareness. My Hashtag is #MindYourMates
I also fundraise for many many charities but to help the Rainbow Club Cork is something im proud of. This charity is for Autism and having my little 5 year old ollie on the spectrum makes all my hard work worthwhile.
I try my best to be the best version of myself and show my 3 children that they too can be the best versions of themselves.
So as the song goes!
